The original concrete block wall along the side of this deck had deteriorated to a point where the dirt under the concrete deck slab was eroding.

The original concrete block footing was used and the concrete blocks were used as infill to make use of the blocks and to avoid discarding them.

The dirt was plastered with grout to keep it in place and to keep the rocks clean while putting them in place.

The resulting rock wall is very practical and a nice feature of this home.
